What better way to spend the summer than helping to welcome some babies? Join us for a student midwife and assistant immersion that will take your skills to the next level.
All students gain immediate access to the Professional Birth Assistant Program online curriculum (worth $3,000 on it's own) to complete at their own pace. In addition, at our opening weekend, all students will receive NRP and BLS certification, hands-on skills training on Pro BA tasks, and have a chance to work together with midwives and students for routine and emergent care techniques before beginning their ten weeks in Alaska with 30+ days of on-call with 10+ midwives across 100 miles of the Last Frontier.
Make friends and memories while learning new skills attending births. Be on call with various midwives in the Anchorage and Mat-Su regions and still have a fun summer with our group on-call calendar. We offer 30 days of on call time per student, and let students schedule themselves for maximum AK summer fun.
We want you serving in birth now, and the 2023 AK Birth Experience is how we help. Every student who has participated in the past Birth Experiences has averaged 5+ labor attendances, and 2023 is shaping up to be a busier summer with a brand new birth center opening who needs our students.
